Hai Phong culture is a concept that talks about the characteristics of the estuary land known through different types of culture such as literature, art, theater, music, as well as entering Vietnamese cultural life through Vietnam. sports, entertainment and other forms of artistic expression.
Hai Phong is the place that has produced and nurtured many great artistic talents of the country. This place was born the name Van Cao in music, the name Tran Van Can in painting.
Van Cao was born on November 15th 1923 in Nam Dinh, He started to compose music when he was very young. He wrote the first sing in 1939 and quickly became famous. You come here to be heard and felt. Amidst the chaos of life, the clear sounds still resound and hum. Feel and enjoy the lifetime works of the late musician Van Cao.
Van Cao wrote many songs. Some of his most well-known are: Go Dong Da (1942); Tien Quan Ca (1944); Bai Ca Chien Si Hai Quan (1945); Van Cao's song Tien Quan Ca written in 1944 became the national anthem of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Tran Van Can (1910 - 1994) was a famous Vietnamese painter, known as one of the four leading painters of Vietnam's modern art: Nhat Tri, Second Van, Tam Lan, Tu Can . He is also the one who "edited and perfected the model of the National Emblem of Vietnam".The activities of painter Tran Van Can and the generation of painters who graduated from the Indochina College of Fine Arts before 1945 created a golden age of painting works at the very beginning of modern Vietnamese art.
